FIFA 2018: Switzerland And Brazil End With 1-1 Draw

Switzerland team held the five time world champion Brazil to a 1-1 draw at the opener of group E played at Rostov Arena on Sunday.

The Brazilian team started well with a lead in the 20th minute of the first-half, when attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho opened the score with a wonder strike that cured into the frame from outside the box.

With an unsatisfactory performance in the first half, the Swiss were back with a blow in the second half. Steven Zuber wagged the ball into the net in the 50th minute from inside the six-yard box and equalised the goals by 1-1. The five time champions lost their calm as they failed to extend their lead.

Men in Red looked a better side in the second half they created many chances troubling the Brazilian Defence.

Neymar, who recently recovered from a football fracture and his team mates will now come up with more pressure than would have previously been anticipated. While the Swiss team improved their chances to reach the qualifiers after claiming a point in an important match.  

Philippe Coutinho was awarded the man of the match for his wonder strike.
