India-Pakistan hockey opener at the 2018 Commonwealth Games ended up in a 2-2 draw on Saturday. In the match played at the Gold Coast Hockey Center, Indian victory seemed imminent till the last 10 seconds when Pakistan converted a penalty corner and the match ended on equal footing.

For India, Dilpreet Singh scored in the 13th minute of the game while Harmanpreet Singh scored in the 19th minute converting a penalty corner to give Indian men’s hockey team a 2-0 lead.
Pakistan stepped up their tempo in the second half and was successful in the 39th minute with a successful strike from Muhammad Irfan Jr.
India kept the 2-1 lead until the last minute of the game, however, it was a penalty strike from Ali Mubashar which equalised the scores and saved Pakistan from a defeat.

India and Pakistan are in Pool-B of the tournament along with Malaysia, Wales and England.
