Carolina Shines In The Japan Open After Defeating Saina Nehwal

Carolina Marin knocked Saina Nehwal out of the Japan Open by 21-16, 21-13. The first game between the Indian Common Wealth gold medalist and the Spanish Olympic gold medallist changed dramatically after the break as Saina was leading by 11-9 before the before but later Carolina managed to beat Saina by 21-16.
The MetLife BWF World Super-series is a circuit of 12 tournaments attracting the top 32 world ranked players in singles (men’s and women’s) and doubles (men’s, women’s and mixed).
This Tournament was inaugurated in 2007, the BWF World Super-series attracts all the star quality players on the international circuit and also generates television coverage globally.
 All players in the tournament compete for ranking points towards their Destination of winning the title.This Series is a two-tier circuit, where five of the World Superseries events are “Premier” events with higher ranking points and prize money.
Nehwal, the former world no. 1 has won over twenty-one international titles, which include ten Superseries titles, but could not manage to defeat Carolina who is an  Olympic Champion she has also won two World Champions, three European Champions. 
Carolina was former World No.1 in BWF rankings for the badminton women's singles. The Spanish badminton player is currently ranked at No. 5 in the World by the Badminton World Federation.
