Indian Team after their clinical performance against the arch-rivals Pakistan on September 23, the Men in Blue is all set to take on Afghanistan in the Super-Four fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.

Rohit Sharma-led Indian team had already made it to the finals after crushing Pakistan by 9 wickets while Afghanistan are coming into their last Asia Cup match after losing to Bangladesh in a last over thriller which they lost by 3 runs.

In head to head records, India leads 1-0 with a win over the Blue Tigers in 2014. The Men in Blue have been in terrific form at the Asia Cup so far after presenting impressive performances back to back. The openers have been in sublime touch and are currently the top run-getters in the tournament, While Shikhar Dhawan has hit 327 runs and Captain Rohit has scored 269. Despite getting a little opportunity, other batsmen like Ambati Rayadu, MS Dhoni and others have also made good contributions.

However, the Indian team management will be keen to test the untested middle-order comprising of MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav and Dinesh Karthik.

As far as Indian bowling is concerned their trump card Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah are leading from the front and the spin twins- Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are backing up comfortably.

Despite suffering consecutive losses against Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Afghans team is likely to take the ground with the same playing eleven. Their batting will heavily depend upon Hasmatullah Shahidi, Mohammad Shahzad, and Rahmat Shah who have been in terrific form since the beginning of Asia Cup.

Their spinners trio of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Mohammad Nabi will try to break the strong Indian batting line-up as oppositions have found it very difficult to score runs against them.

The pitch is once again expected to be on the slower side with a good amount of help to the spinners.
