Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian side in the absence of Virat Kohli. Indian team players Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, along with captain Rohit Sharma, had a training session in Dubai on Friday.

Speaking to media in Pakistan before the team departed for UAE, Malik had described the clash between India and Pakistan as ‘just another game’. He also said, "I think that the match against India is just another game and we should avoid creating hype as it adds unnecessary pressure."

Former India batsman VVS Laxman considered Shoaib Malik as the real threat when India play against Pakistan.

Speaking to media, VVS Laxman said, "Shoaib Malik is someone who would look to play the anchor role because he has got the ability to rotate the strike, play down the ground, taking easy singles."

"But at the same time when he presses the accelerator, he can play the big shots and he has got an abundance of experience and he is a champion as far as the white ball is concerned," Laxman added.
