The much anticipatory clash between India and Pakistan is all set to test the skills of both the teams when they go head-to-head once again on September 19 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The last time these two sides met was in the ICC Champions Trophy final on June 18, 2017, at the Oval in London which the Pakistan team had won comfortably to grab the Champions Trophy. It is going to be 130th time these two powerful cricket nations go one-on-one in ODI Cricket.

India and Pakistan have locked horns 12 times in the Asia Cup till 2016 and the upcoming clash will be the 13th occasion of its kind.

However, at the Asia Cup, India have the upper hand against Pakistan as the Men in Blue have managed to win 6 matches out of the 12 matches played, with 1 match ending up in a Tie/NR, and Pakistan winning 5 of them.

It will be interesting to watch how the Indian team will strategize their playing XI in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli though a bulk of experience will be shared on and off-field by former captain MS Dhoni.

Stand-in captain Rohit Sharma is also one of the best in the business when it comes to limited-overs cricket but his support line-up is always a little fragile.

Another key issue will be how India recover from their first match with Hong Kong. The weather in Dubai is not the most conducive for playing on two successive days and this may well come into effect, as Pakistan have had a day's rest post their win over Hong Kong.

Take a look at the squads of both the teams:

India- Rohit Sharma (capt), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Ambati Rayudu, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wk), Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur, Dinesh Karthik, Khaleel Ahmed.

Pakistan- Sarfraz Ahmed (capt/wk), Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul Haq, Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Shoaib Malik, Haris Sohail, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Junaid Khan, Usman Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Asif Ali, Mohammad Amir.
