Asia Cup 2018 Super Four: Bangladesh Stuns Afghanistan By 3 Runs To Keep Their Hopes Alive

Bangladesh team had produced some clinical performance on Sunday as they beat Afghanistan by 3 runs to keep their chances alive of reaching the final of the Asia Cup 2018.

After electing to bat first, Bangladesh rode on high with Mahmudullah's valuable 74 runs and Imrul Kayes's 72 to put a 250-run target in front of the Afghans.

In reply, Afghanistan lost the wickets at the regular intervals despite a brilliant half-century by Mohammad Shahzad registering his 1st ODI 50 against Bangladesh and first in 6 innings.

Afghan batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi's 71-runs innings also went in vain as Afghanistan lost a thrilling contest to Bangladesh in a Super Four tie

According to media reports man of the match, Mahmudullah said that his team did well at the end to keep their nerves and eventually win it. Credits to Mustafizur for how he finished the last over even after his cramps and calf strain. Reckons that Afghanistan have some good hitters but feels his bowlers did a really good job to win it for them today.
