Ahead Of ODI Series Aussie Players Hails Legendary Keeper MS Dhoni

Ahead of the ODI series the Australian players has praised the legendary former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Aussie Test skipper Tim Paine, all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and Usman Khawaja hailed the Indian cricketer.

Dhoni will be seen in action on January 12 in 1st ODI against Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).             

Tim Paine termed former Indian captain as one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen to have ever played the game of cricket. He further said that Dhoni is right up there with the best in white-ball cricket.  

Speaking to media Paine said, "I think he is one of the best wicketkeeper-batsmen to ever play the game."

Australian pacer Pat Cummins Praised Dhoni's ability to remain calm in the toughest of situations. Besides that, he also hailed the former Indian skipper as a great ambassador of the game and his unfazed attitude.

"Winning games from impossible positions and he just seems like the most level, calm captain when he's captaining, just play, nothing seems too big a deal, and just can pull things out of his hat like no one else.

"He's a great ambassador for cricket, being an idol to a billion Indian people back home and he's hugely respected around the world," he added.

Usman Khawaja who was a part of Rising Pune Supergiant in IPL 2016 said that he likes Dhoni's relaxed attitude towards the game.

"He concentrates on the controllables, doesn't worry about the rest, doesn't let a lot faze him, understands there's a lot of up and downs in cricket and I think he's experienced that throughout his career and the way he plays and the way he goes about it" said the Australian left-hander.
