Sweden dominated Mexico in match 44 of FIFA World Cup, which took place at Ekaterinburg Arena, Ekaterinburg. The Sweden team jumped from 3rd to 1st place in the points table with a stunning win over Mexico of 3-0. The Europeans started in a very powerful manner and grabbed all goal scoring opportunities.
Just after an hour passed, Sweden looked to doubled their advantage when Andreas Granqvist converted from the penalty spot. Mexico tried hard to build up the momentum and to come back into the match but it was the day that belonged to the Europeans as they were impressively resolute at the back.

The Swedish Ludwig Augustinsson, played in attacking fashion and scored the crucial opening goal and his first at a FIFA World Cup.
Considering the fact of being outplayed by Sweden, Mexico qualified for the knockout stages for the seventh consecutive World Cup.
