David Warner To Play In The Caribbean Premier League

The former Vice Captain of Australian cricket team David Warner is ready to get featured in the upcoming season of Caribbean Premier League. He will play for St. Lucia Stars in the league beginning from 8th August.

The banned Australian batsman will replace his fellow cricketer D’Arcy Short. He has been selected in Australia tour of India.  

Stars General Manager Mohammad Khan said, "We are excited to bring David to the Saint Lucia Stars. David is arguably one of the greatest batsmen of the modern era and a winning player," 


Former Australian skipper, Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were handed 12-Month ban from international cricket due to the Cape Town ball tampering case in a test match against South Africa.

Apart from International cricket Warner and Smith were also removed from the Indian Premier League where they were appointed as captains of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals respectively.

Warner had some memories to cherish when he played on the Caribbean field. Warner struck 109 against South Africa in a one-day international in Saint Kitts the last time he played in the Caribbean two years ago.

Warner scored a stunning century in the comeback T20 match against the Australia National High Performance. He blazed a fast knock of 130 runs.
