Apple Users Alert! iOS Update Will Allow You To Disable Battery Performance Throttling

| January 19 , 2018 , 16:20 IST

The future iOS update will give the user more power over their phone's battery says Apple. Speaking to ABC NEWS, Apple's Chief Executive Officer, Tim Cook revealed that Apple will embark on something which “hasn’t been done before”.

The company will tell the user how Healthy their Battery is and how much they are reducing the performance in order to prevent an unexpected restart and if the user doesn’t want it the user can turn this feature off. CEO Tim Cook revealed that the developer beta including these features will be released next month, with a public release to follow after.

Cook is right, This sort of thing is never done before by any Mobile phone manufacturer, no one provides the user to know about the health of the battery.

Apple rolling out iOS 11.2.5 beta 6 today for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch to developers and public beta testers. Last week two beta updates were rolled out, and this fast pace may indicate that iOS 11.2.5 is almost ready for prime time. There is not much new in iOS 11.2.5, so don't expect any of the big features we're still waiting for to arrive, such as Messages on iCloud and Apple's recently promised battery health tool. Those will likely appear in iOS 11.3.

What can we expect in iOS 11.3?
