Coolpad Launch A1 And Mega 4A In India As Offline Exclusives: Know Price And Features Here

The Chinese mobile maker, Coolpad has finally launched the Coolpad Mega 4A along with Coolpad A1 in India on Thursday. It was originally scheduled for an Indian launch last year.

The new smartphone has been launched as offline exclusives and is available only at retail stores across the country.

CoolPad A1 and Coolpad Mega 4A are priced at Rs 5,499 and Rs 4,299 respectively and will face off against an incoming bunch of entry-level Android phones powered by Android Oreo (Go Edition). Both the smartphones will be available in Gold colour option for purchase in the country starting from April 12, Thursday.

The dual-SIM Coolpad A1 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and features a 5-inch HD display. The handset is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM. It has an 8MP rear camera sensor along with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera sensor.

The phone has 16GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). The smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS connectivity options. Sensors on board include an ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor. It packs a 2500mAh battery that is touted to deliver up to 240 hours of standby time.

On the other side, the dual-SIM Coolpad Mega 4A runs Android 7.1 Nougat and has a 5-inch HD display. The smartphone has a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 SoC, coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has a 5MP camera sensor on the back and a 2MP front camera sensor.

Mega 4A has 16GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card. Besides, the smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 150 hours of standby time.

Syed Tajuddin, CEO of Coolpad India said in a statement, "To make a formidable presence in the offline market in India we are looking forward to introducing some competitive offline-exclusive devices. These devices will offer a good value proposition to the customers".

"We are planning to introduce some more offline devices in the next two-three months in order to expand into the offline market through our retails partners and multi-brand outlets," Tajuddin added.

Both the budget devices will be available only at retail stores starting April 12 only in eight states including Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
