BlackBerry which once ruled the mobile phone market with the launch of its trademark QWERTY keypad faded into the background as touch-screens took over the market, but is now making its return with the launch of its smartphone KEYOne in India on Tuesday.
Earlier showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February, KEYOne, was launched at an event in New Delhi, priced at Rs 39,990 and is to be available exclusively on Amazon from August 8. The smartphone had earlier been launched in US and Canada in May.
Manufactured by TCL, BlackBerry KEYOne is the last in-house designed, engineered BlackBerry phone. In comparison to the earlier BlackBerry phones, the KEYOne model has a bigger display and comes with the typical BlackBerry physical keyboard.
BlackBerry has released the KEYOne smartphone with a tagline of "Do more. Different".
