Once in a while, a trend appears on the runway, then lodges itself firmly inside your brain. Just when you thought we were running out of trends to reviver from the 90's another, a nostalgic piece has slowly been making its comeback. The Matrix, teeny frames are everywhere from big brands like Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Prada to fast fashion shops like Mango and Forever 21.

When we first started noticing tiny sunglasses among street style crowds and Instagirl models, we figured it was just a sartorial experiment in quirky eyewear, but if Rihanna, Kendall, Gigi and the Queen of Instagram Selena Gomes have anything to say about it and Oh! we know they do, skinny sunglasses are suddenly passé.

Selena Gomez took things back to the '90s by adding petite red frames to an all-black look.

From Balenciaga's Fall 2017 runway to Kendall Jenner, the ultra-skinny cat-eye has a touch of inspiration from The Matrix this season.

Single-handedly spearheading the return of teeny tiny frames in 2017 is Bella Hadid, who has worn the sunglasses with everything from athleisure to evening-wear—each looks cooler than the next.

Closer to home, the sisterhood of Sonam and Rhea Kapoor have embraced the rage for skinnies, as have the likes of Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor!

Varying between different materials, shapes, and tints, these mini sunglasses are actually a lot more versatile than you’d think, suitable for pretty much every face shape.
