Mumbai Rain: Heavy Torrent of Rain Keeps City Suffering

Mumbai city evidenced another day of unceasing rains and water-logging in streets. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall in the past three days, which has disrupted several local public services.

High tides were visible in Mumbai as heavy rain lashes the city.

Wadala locality in Mumbai was the lastest to witnessed heavy rainfall. School and Colleges remained closed for the 2nd consecutive day.

Even Nallasopara station continues to suffer, where line train service has been halted due to waterlogging following heavy rains.

Western Railway in a tweet said, "Due to incessant heavy downpour, water level at railway tracks at Nallasopara has further risen to 200 mm to 460 mm making it impossible to run trains bet Nallasopara & Virar. The area outside & along rail tracks is heavily flooded & water flowing on the tracks. DRM, Mumbai Central at site".

Mumbai rain caused waterlogging on Railway tracks of Sion station.

Also, the total count of death in the monsoon season has reached up to 35.
