The top-seeded Indo-Swiss pair eased past 13th seeded Dutch-Czech combination of Michaella Krajicek and Barbora Strycova 6-3 6-0 in a contest which lasted 59 minutes. Sania and Martina put up a thoroughly dominating performance by holding their serve all through. In the opening set, the top seeds broke their rivals once and sent down 14 winners as compared to the 8 by Krajicek and Strycova to grab the advantage in 33 minutes. With 9 unforced errors, Krajicek and Strycova literally served the match on a platter for Sania and Martina, who wrapped up the second set in just 26 minutes to march ahead. Next up for the Indo-Swiss combination are ninth seeds Yung-Jan Chan and Hao-Ching Chan of Chinese Taipei, who rallied to beat unseeded Romanians Irina-Camelia Begu and Raluca Olaru 5-7 6-1 7-6 (4).
