#SalaamKalam: India Loses Its Most Loved President

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam RIPIndia lost a hero on Monday, India lost the country's most love President ever. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the 'Missile man' of India, was 83. Known for his unique silver locks and popularity among children, Dr Kalam was an institution in himself, a treasure trove of knowledge, a man of technology. One of his best quotes could be:
"If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the father, the mother and the teacher."
Dr Kalam was in Shillong for to attend a course on Livable Planet Earth at Indian Institute of Management. While delivering a lecture, he suffered a massive heart attack. He was rushed to the Bethany Hospital in critical condition and subsequently passed away due to heart failure.APJ abdul kalam 4 a 2 Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on 15 October 1931 to a Tamil Muslim family in Rameswaram in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He started his career by designing a small helicopter for the Indian Army, but remained unconvinced by his choice of a job at DRDO. Dr Kalam served as the 11th President of India, succeeding K R Narayanan. He won the 2002 presidential election with an electoral vote of 922,884, surpassing 107,366 votes won by Lakshmi Sahgal. He served from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007. His 79th birthday was recognised as World Student's Day by United Nations.
