Meanwhile, the BMC on Friday informed the Bombay high court that it has lifted two days of ban on sale and slaughter of meat in Mumbai during the Jain festival. With this the ban on September 13 and 18 now stands lifted. The court did not stay the ban imposed by the state on September 17 and will pass orders on Monday.
