Facebook Pushes Minimum Pay For Contactors to $15 Per Hour Facebook is not coming with a 'Dislike' button afterall. Instead, it may provide user 'emojis' for the purpose. Earlier this week, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that the company is working on a way for users to express dislike or similar emotions for a post without leaving a comment. Most people interpreted it as that Facebook was working on a new Dislike button. However, what Facebook CEO Zuckerberg actually said was this-
We didn’t want to just build a Dislike button because we don’t want to turn Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people’s posts. That doesn’t seem like the kind of community we want to create.
Surely, a 'dislike' button is not what he seems to be talking about. An emoji would be able to better create the kind of community that Facebook wants. These emojis will deal with core emotions, rather than having all sorts of fancy emojis running around that we tend to see on instant messaging apps these days. Facebook has registered a patent of emoji reactions. The patents date back to 2013, but a recent document – filed December 23, 2014 – illustrates just how the tool might look on the social network. Instead of the usual Like thumbs up, users may have the option to pick from a selection of emoji that best describe their reaction. facebook-patent-emoji-reaction
