Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday lashed out at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said nothing could be more shameful for democracy than the Chief Minister herself sitting on a dharna.

He added that once BJP comes to power, Trinamool goons hold placards saying they are criminals.

Yogi Adityanath addressed a public in Purulia district of West Bengal on Tuesday. Yogi was denied permission by the West Bengal government to land his chopper in South Dinajpur district on Sunday, thus after landing at Bokaro in Jharkhand, he drove the 50-odd km to the venue.

He blamed Mamata for protecting a corrupt police officer accused in the Saradha chit fund scam.He urged the public to throw this government out and claimed that BJP won by such a huge margin in UP. There was no violence while Bengal is gripped by political violence.

He further said that Mamata allowed Muharram processions but not Durga Puja. This government creates obstacles for Saraswati Puja and Janmashthami as well. This govt has been questioned many times by the high court on this issue.

This was the second rally of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister seen as the biggest mascot of the BJP after Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Yogi while slamming West Bengal government said, “This government is embroiled in undemocratic and unconstitutional activities and that is the reason why a ‘sanyasi’ and ‘yogi’ like me is not being allowed to step on the soil of Bengal.”

He added,” They want to hide corruption, Bengal is in a bad financial state. So they want to prevent BJP leaders from visiting the state so that these things do not come out in the open. BJP will form govt in Bengal.”
