Yogi Adityanath Presents Six Month Report Card, Claims Of No Riot Incident Since March

Uttar Pradesh government has always been under the radar and the past six months were no different. Ever since Yogi Adityanath took up the chair, many expected the birth of a completely new state though, the activities that followed said a different story.

Chief Minister on the eve of 6 months completion of his government presented a report card of his works in the state. He addressed a group of media persons at the Lok Bhawan in Lucknow and listed out his achievements and schemes.

Yogi claimed, "After March 2017, there hasn't been a single incident of the riot. Prior to that, we had seen cases of riots taking place in the state." The CM congratulated his minister for contributing in transforming the face of UP to a great extent within a time span of 6 months.

He said, "It was a priority to rid UP of jungle raj. (I'm) happy that hard work by ministers has instilled a sense of confidence in the people." Earlier on September 18, Yogi has presented a white paper which talked about the dirty works of previous governments.

The 24-page document which reportedly consisted of how SP and BSP have ruined the state with their mismanagement and "faulty politics". Yogi claimed that the previous government left the state's financial condition in a muddle and when BJP took over the work, debts were touching high sky whereas the account the empty.

"Development works came to a standstill...brakes were applied not on corruption but on development," Yogi said while accusing the previous governments of corruption.

UP farmers have always found themselves in the mix whenever centre and state locked the horns in past. For the welfare of those farmhands, Yogi said, "For the welfare of farmers, we started the system to provide them tube wells and solar pumps."

Yogi government has been in news recently for ordering Aadhar linkage to various accounts. Raising the point for his benefit, CM said, "If permitted to link khatian to Aadhaar there won't be the false registry or any fraud."

UP's homegrown mafia has developed to a greater level in the past year. Talking about the issue, Yogi said, "We are also planning to launch a systematic drive which will help government retrieve 1000 hectares of land which have been in the grip of land mafia since years."

Yogi Adityanath claimed the chair of UP Cheif Minister on March 19, 2017, after winning the mandate in Assembly Elections with great margin and promised to bring the UP of dreams to life. The party leaders showed a great amount of momentum in the beginning of their term which with time slacked a bit.
