Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee on Thursday slammed Bhartiya Janta Party by comparing them with militant organization.

While addressing a gathering Mamta said, ”All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) is not a militant organization like the Bhartiya Janta Party.”

She further accused the Bhartiya Janta Party of creating fights not only amongst Christians and Muslims but also among the Hindus.

Mamta said, ”The BJP is lynching people. Please be careful as there are times when the BJP is also tampering with EVMs. In the next three-six months, there will be an election, please be careful.

Earlier the BJP Chief of West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh while targeting the Trinamool Congress had said, “Those leaders who are working to spread unrest in Bengal will soon be in jail or they will be eliminated by direct encounters."

Banerjee's statement came a day after West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh allegedly threatened the TMC workers. The Jalpaiguri Police had filed a case against Ghosh in this matter on Thursday.

On June 2, the body of a BJP worker, Dulal Kumar, was found hanging from a pole in Balarampur area of Purulia district. Similarly, the body of another BJP activist Trilochan Mahato was found hanging from a tree in the same district on May 30. This was followed by the deaths of at least two Trinamool Congress workers.
