The Rachakonda Police on Tuesday rescued 11 minors from a brothel and arrested 8 people in connection with the trafficking of these minor girls. It is alleged that all the 11 girls are minors while four of them are below the age of 7.

The police officer said, “On receipt of a tip, the team raided on the brothel houses in Yadagirigutta proper and arrested 8 traffickers who were committing illicit trafficking of innocent women and running brothel houses.

The accused have been identified as Kamsani Kalyani, Kamsani Anitha, Kamsani Susheela, Kamsani Narsimha, Kamsani Sruthi, Kamsani Saritha, Kamsani Vani, Kamsani Vamshi and Dr. Swamy.

The officials further added, “11 children were also rescued from those brothel houses. The inquiries established that taking the advantage of the poverty of certain families, the traffickers used to procure the girl children from various places through the professional mediators namely Krishna Shankar and Kamsani Yadagiri by paying one lakh to two lakhs for each girl.”

The girls were injected with hormones with the aim of sexually exploiting them. The police have identified a medical professional who was allegedly providing the brothel owners with the hormonal medication for Rs 25,000 per injection.

Five of the eight accused had a record of violations under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, and Preventive Detention was invoked.

The police sealed their houses and sent the rescued girls to a home in Hyderabad for rehabilitation and re-integration.
