Spiritual Leader Dada J P Vaswani Dies At The Age Of 99 Years

Prominent spiritual leader and head of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission, Dada J P Vaswani passed away on Thursday at the age of 99. He was known as a humanitarian, philosopher and a great orator who had inspired uncountable peoples in the country. 

President of India, Ramnath Kovind expressed his grief on Twitter and said, “Sad to hear of the passing of Dada J.P. Vaswani, a spiritual leader who contributed so much to our society. He dedicated his life to the betterment of humanity, promoting simple living, high thinking and education. My condolences to his countless followers.”

A Sadhu Vaswani Mission member said, “He has been admitted to a private hospital in the city for the past few days and was discharged on Wednesday late night.”

The mission members were planning for a big celebration on his 100th birthday, next month.

Dada J P Vaswani was born on August 2, 1918, in Pakistan's Hyderabad. He was excellent in his academics years and gave up education to follow the footsteps of his illustrious uncle and guru, Sadhu T L Vaswani.

He was the leader of Sadhu Vaswani Mission which is a non-profit organisation that runs educational institutions and hospitals in Pune.

On the occasion of his 99th birthday, Prime Minister Modi had said his blessings would help accomplish goals for a new India.
