Sonia Gandhi Unwell, Rahul Confirms Recovery Via Twitter

Congress President Sonia Gandhi is often noted travelling to the United States for treatment. The 70-year-old who is prone to falling ill every once in a while was once again rushed to Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital when she caught a stomach bug on Friday.

Lately, Sonia is not seen participating in the political rallies as her son is gearing up to take over the Congress presidential position soon. She was recently unwinding in Shimla when she caught a virus, following which she was taken back to Delhi for treatment.

"Mrs Sonia Gandhi was brought to the hospital on Friday evening at 5 pm. She has been found to be suffering from upset stomach," a top official from the hospital, Dr DS Rana informed.

Rahul Gandhi who is recently making headlines for being on a roll on social media also tweeted regarding the health condition of his mother. He also thanked the people for showing concern towards Sonia's condition.

Himachal Pradesh is among the few states governed by Congress and will uphold the state elections on November 9. Sonia will reportedly be among the campaigners to promote the party in the state. Elections results for Himachal will be counted on December 18 along with Gujarat.

While Rahul has taken Gujarat by the storm will his youth inspiring speeches, Mrs Gandhi will supposedly take the lead in Himachal. Sonia also fell sick while campaigning in Varanasi last year and had to abort the road trip.
