Social activist Anna Hazare, who wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday demanding justice for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) aspirants protesting against paper leaks, on Sunday met the protesting students personally.

Students preparing for the SSC Combined Graduate-Level (CGL) Examination have been protesting in Delhi in large numbers against 'mass cheating' since February 27, after alleged paper leaks. The protesters called for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the SSC exam case, to examine the alleged scams.

Hazare, in his letter to the Prime Minister, highlighted the difficulties faced by the students who had spent years of their lives preparing genuinely for an examination, only to be faced by others using unfair means. Hazare added that since PM Modi has always talked about the importance of youth, he should also heed the difficulties the youth were facing, and grant the protestors their desired probe.
