Ever since Uttar Pradesh's current Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came into power, his efforts to get the state covered in Saffron colour have been duly noted and criticised. However, the CM seems immune to the negative comments and is still moving forward with his unsaid strategy of promoting Hinduism.

In the latest attempt, UP government has painted the exterior of Lucknow’s Haj House in saffron colour. Notably, the building represents Muslims, who protested against this unfair step but couldn't stop the authorities due to the support of garnered by the state's Minister of Minority Affairs.

Mohsin Raza has supported BJP in their step and expressed, "There is no need for controversy in such things, saffron is an energetic and bright looking colour, the building looks beautiful."

Muslims usually commence their scared travel to Mecca from the Haj House where the documented inspection for the pilgrimage also takes. Yogi began his "saffron" agenda by getting his office coloured to saffron and later moved to the Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan.

Yogi Adityanath being an ardent follower of Hinduism has covered his body with saffron surroundings, the colour was also used in many places of the state after Yogi Adityanath took charge as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. From electric poles to state buses, booklets and posters to towels, even chairs he sits on for meetings or conferences are reportedly saffron.
