Ryan Student Murder: CBI Registers FIR, Sends 12-Member Team To Initiate Probe

Weeks after the death of seven-year-old Pradyuman in Gurugram situated Ryan International, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR in the case and sent a 12-member team to the school to initiate the probe on Saturday.

News Agency ANI reported, "12 members forensic team reaches Ryan International School in Pradyuman Murder Case."

The CBI had registered the FIR on Friday after it received the Haryana government request.

A CBI official said that the case was registered after the agency received the notification from the state government in the Ryan student's murder case.

The case was registered under the sections of the murder, arms act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Juvenile Justice Act.

The CBI official further said that a team of the agency has reached Gurugram and will visit the school on Saturday to collect more evidence in the case.

The Haryana government ordered a CBI inquiry into the killing of seven-year-old Pradhuman Thakur on September 15. Pradhuman was found dead with his throat slit inside the school's washroom inside the Ryan International School in Bhondsi area on the Sohna Road in Gurugram district on September 8, within an hour after his father dropped him.
