RSS Worker Shot In Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district, Died On Spot

In a recent case of shootout in the Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) worker and local Journalist, Rajesh Mishra lost his life. Reportedly, he was shot dead at his shop in the district's Karanda area by some bike-borne attackers.

Mishra's brother, Mitesh Mishra who was present at the time of the murder is critically injured. Police are investigating the case but no one has yet been arrested in the matter. Reportedly, the Mishra brothers were on their way to their shop of building materials when the assailants openly fired at them.

While Rajesh died on spot, his brother was rushed to the hospital. Locals were highly panicked after the attack. Police the trying to talk to the witnesses and family members of victims to make out the reason for murder.

Incidentally, the shooting took place only four days after the senior RSS leader Ravinder Gosain was shot dead by two disguised motorcycles at his residence in Punjab’s Ludhiana. Punjab has recently witnessed the murder of high-profile activists who belong to religious or right-wing organisations.

Punjab Government handed over the case to National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday after the CM Amarinder Singh announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the deceased’s family and a government job for one of his progeny.
