Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the construction of Dera Baba Nanak-Kartarpur Sahib road corridor on Monday.

This corridor will be connecting the Sikh Holy shrine of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib in India to the holy shrine of Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.

Just a few hours before the foundation laying ceremony a row took over the foundation stone. Punjab minister Sukhjinder Singh Wadhwa had put black tape on his, CM Amarinder Singh and other Punjab minister’s names engraved on the stone.

According to the media reports, Randhawa said "I have done this to protest the inclusion of Parkash Singh Badal's and Sukhbir Singh Badal's names on the foundation stone. Why are their names here? They are not a part of the executive. It's not a BJP-Akali event."

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh will be present on the occasion.

The Kartarpur corridor will let Sikh pilgrims visit Gurudwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur all throughout the year. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of the actual Kartarpur corridor in Pakistan on November 28.
