RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav Says, Marriage Can Wait, Politics Cannot

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, who took charge of the opposition in Bihar in place of his jailed father Lalu Yadav revealed on Monday that Marriage can wait but politics cannot and he will marry after the 2019 general elections.

Speaking to media, the former Deputy Chief Minister after arriving from Ranchi said, "I will marry only after the Lok Sabha polls."  

Tejashwi also said, "Yes, I'm getting a lot of proposals after the wedding but it will happen only after the Lok Sabha election next year. You know, one should have the time for a honeymoon too, but where's the time for that until the elections?

Tejashwi Yadav, the younger son of Lalu Prasad also added that he will marry a girl of his parents' choice. "I will prefer an arranged marriage."

Two years ago, when he was the Deputy Chief Minister, he reportedly received 44,000 marriage proposals on WhatsApp.

It is learnt that Lalu Prasad is undergoing treatment at a Ranchi hospital after being jailed in a multi-crore fodder scam.

Tejashwi's elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav, a former Bihar Health Minister, married former Minister and RJD leader Chandrika Rai's daughter Aishwarya Rai, in May this year.

Even, all of his seven sisters including Misa Bharti, a Rajya Sabha member, are married.
