Days after rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was sent away to serve his 20-year imprisonment sentence, his adopted daughter and second in command at Dera Sacha Sauda has gone Missing.

The police has also issued a lookout notice against Honeypreet Insan.

While speculations are that Honeypreet has fled the country and has taken refuge in India's friendly neighbour Nepal, the Haryana police has reportedly sent word to the Indo-Nepal border troops.

According to reports, Honeypreet is accused of sedition, for alleged conspiracy of helping her father flee from the court after his trial.

Honeypreet, the adopted daughter of Ram Rahim and also his close confidante, allegedly conspired to help Ram Rahim escape from the security detail that had been given the custody of him after his conviction in two rape cases, Haryana deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Manbir Singh said.

Aditya has been charged as the main accused in the sedition case registered for inciting the followers of Ram Rahim to extreme violence after the Dera chief's conviction verdict. In the violence that followed, 37 people died and more than 200 were injured with crores worth of public property was destroyed. In connection with the violence of August 25, another accused Surender Dhiman has already been arrested.

Police sources say that both Honeypreet and Aditya were already aware of what Ram Rahim's followers would do if he had been pronounced guilty.

The Haryana government is also looking into how Honeypreet was allowed to accompany Ram Rahim on the chopper that took the convicted godman from the Panchkula court complex in Haryana to the jail compound in Rohtak. Photographs of the duo sitting in the chopper had been released to the public leading to questions from the Punjab and Haryana high court bar on special treatment being given to Ram Rahim.
