Accused in the sensational murder case of Aarushi and Hemraj, Aarushi's parents, dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar will finally walk out of Ghaziabad's Dasna Jail on Friday, after they were acquitted in the murder case by the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.

"I think release orders will be received by jail superintendent by afternoon& Talwars will be released by 4 pm," said Tanveer A Mir, the Talwars' lawyer.

Sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Aarushi-Hemraj by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in November 2013, Rajesh and Nupur will be leaving the jail after spending 4 years there.

The Talwars had moved the High Court on January 21, 2014, challenging the conviction and sentencing awarded by the CBI trial court for the murder of their 14-year-old daughter Aarushi and the domestic help Hemraj.

On Thursday, the Allahabad High Court division bench comprising of Justices Bala Krishna Narain and Arvind Kumar Mishra, allowed the appeals filed by the Talwars, ruling that the evidence on record nor the circumstances proved their involvement in the murders of Aarushi and Hemraj, and directed the concerned authorities to release both Rajesh and Nupur.

Aarushi had been found dead with her throat slit inside her bedroom at the family's Noida Jal Vayu Vihar residence in May 2008. Initially, the domestic help Hemraj was suspected of being the murderer as he went missing after she was killed. Barely two days after Aarushi's murder, Hemraj's dead body was recovered from the terrace of the Talwar residence, turning the case into one of a double murder.

Based mostly on circumstantial evidence, the parents of Aarushi, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were accused of the double murders. The sensational murder case has since then been converted into a movie and a book.
