Congress president Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS on Thursday. While addressing the All India Congress Committee minority department national convention in New Delhi, Rahul said if the UPA comes back to power, they will make sure the Triple Talaq Bill is revoked.

He said, “Constitution is the battlefield on which this election is being fought. RSS wants to run the country from Nagpur. Narendra Modi is the face, Mohan Bhagwat is the remote control.”

He further said, "The institutions in India do not belong to any party, they belong to the country, and to protect them is our responsibility, be it Congress or any other party. They(BJP) think they are above the nation, in 3 months they will understand that nation is above them."

He also dared PM Modi for a five-minute debate with him.

"Modi Ji, you said you have a 56-inch chest. I challenge you to come a have a face to face debate with me. I challenge you," Gandhi said.

"I challenge the BJP, let Narendra Modi Ji debate with me for 10 minutes on stage. He is scared, he is a 'darpok(coward)' person.

Gandhi also took on BJP president Amit Shah and mocked the latter for the phrase ‘sone ki chidiya’ (golden bird), one Shah uses to describe India. “

He says it like it’s a product, but only a few benefit through it. The other ideology says that this country is like a river that helps everyone through where it flows. This is the fight and the battleground is the constitution. The government wants to run the country through Nagpur and they want to dilute the constitution but Mohan Bhagwat should run the country using the remote control.”
