Days after the arrest of Honeypreet Insan, the confidante of rape convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh,  Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has blamed Punjab government of withholding information.

The Haryana CM alleged that the Punjab police kept and delayed the information about Honeypreet Insan.

Addressing the media, Khattar evaded all the other questions saying that more information will be provided upon revelation in the interrogation conducted by the investigation team.

Raising questions over the arrest the recent arrests, CM Khattar said, "There certainly is something fishy about this."

While the Punjab government has denied all these allegations, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had earlier said that Punjab Police did not have any role in the arrest.

After reports of Honeypreet's surrender, Panchkula police commissioner said, "It was the SIT team of Haryana Police that rounded up Honeypreet Insan from Punjab. It was indicated to the Punjab Police as per the SoP."

Dera Sacha Sauda Second-in-command, Honeypreet is accused of inciting violence after Ram Rahim's conviction in the rape case and conspiring to flee Gurmeet Singh from Panchkula court.

Honeypreet had gone into hiding ever since an inquiry was set into the violence.
