PM Modi Visits His Lok Sabha Constituency Varanasi, Addresses A Public Rally in Ghazipur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of medical College in Ghazipur followed by a release of a commemorative postal stamp on the Maharaja Suheldeo and addressed a rally in Ghazipur on Saturday.

Reportedly, he will also launch developmental projects worth Rs 508 crore.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath addressed the rally in Ghazipur and welcomed PM Modi. Terming the inauguration, as the driven effort of BJP,  Adityanath thanked Modi for making it possible to release the commemorative postal stamps in the name of Suhel Dev nearly after 1000 years.

PM Modi while addressing the gathering said that Karnataka government promised to waive off all farm loans but instead pardoned the loans of just 800 farmers.

Modi, referring to himself as chowkidar or watchman, said he is working tirelessly for the people. "Aane wala samay aapka hai, aapke bachhon ka hai. Aapka aur aapke bhavishya sudhaarne ke liye aapka ye chaukidar bohot imaandari se, bohot lagan ke saath, din raat ek kar raha hai (The future belongs to you and your children. Your watchman is working tirelessly, honestly and day and night for your future)," Modi told the gathering at Ghazipur rally.

The UP Chief Minister also urged people to ensure a sweeping victory for Modi in 2019, better as compared to 2014 and 2017.

Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and South Asia Regional Centre (ISARC) on the campus of National Seed Research and Training Centre (NSRTC) in Varanasi. Besides this, he will attend the ‘One District, One Product’ regional summit at Deendayal Hastakala Sankul.

PM Modi's trip to Varanasi is his second visit there in the last two months.
