PM Modi Visit Statue Of Unity, Inspects 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' Parade

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Statue of Unity and inspected "Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat" parade on Friday at Kevadiya, Gujarat.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs Hansraj Ahir were also present at the event.

The parade was led by the flag units of all states and union territories, central police organizations, women officers band of central police reserve force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

BSF Commandos and Gujarat Police first response force of terrorist attack also put a great show at the event.

PM Narendra Modi was also given a guard of honour at the Statue of Unity. The grand monument, dedicated to India's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, was inaugurated by the PM himself on October 31.

PM Modi was on a two-day visit to Gujarat. He will address the annual conference of state Director Generals of Police (DGP) and IGPs at Kevadia colony of Narmada district later today.

The DGPs Conference is an event in which top police officers from all over the country share and discuss security-related issues.

PM will also address the BJP women workers and leaders meet tomorrow at Adalaj village near Gandhinagar, before leaving for Delhi.
