Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to celebrate Diwali festival on November 7 in Kedarnath, sources told on Monday.
After assuming the office in 2014, Every year PM Modi celebrated Diwali with security personnel at different parts of the country.
Last year, PM Modi celebrated his Diwali with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir and later visited Kedarnath and inaugurated a number of development projects there.
In 2016, PM Modi celebrated Diwali with Jawans of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITPB) and the Indian army in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.
In 2015, PM Modi visited the Dogra War Memorial in Khasa, Amritsar and celebrated Diwali with the troops.
In a surprise visit in 2014 when PM Modi became Prime Minister, he visited the Siachen Base camp to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers deployed at the World’s highest battlefield.
On Monday PM Modi has congratulated the nation on the occasion of Dhanteras and twitted, "Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. May this special day enhance the spirit of peace and prosperity in our society."
