PM Modi Inaugurates Sant Kabir Academy In Maghar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Sant Kabir Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday on the occasion of the 500th death anniversary of the great saint and poet Kabir Das.

PM offered chaadar at Sant Kabir Mazaar and visited the Sant Kabir Cave and unveiled Sant Kabir Academy. 

Prime Minister said, "A wish for years has fulfilled today." 

He inaugurated the Sant Kabir Academy built at a cost of Rs. 24 crores. The institution has been created to preserve the legacy of Sant Kabir Das and the regional dialects of Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a public gathering in Maghar, Modi said, "Sant Kabir represents the essence of India's soul. He broke the barriers of caste and spoke the language of the ordinary, rural Indian. Saints have risen from time to time, in various parts of India, who have guided society to rid itself of social evils".

PM spoke of Babasaheb Ambedkar and how he ensured equality for every citizen of India through the constitution. Making a strong statement against political opportunism, PM recalled Sant Kabir's teaching with a code that the ideal ruler is one who understands the feelings and suffering of the people.

PM has also discussed various schemes of the Union Government like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, insurance schemes and praised the work of infrastructural sectors. He ensured that all parts of India will receive the same development.
