'PM Forgotten The Raj Dharma Is Only Concerned About His Raj', Says Randeep Surjewala

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala on Thursday accused Bharatiya Janata Party of politicising the deaths of CRPF soldiers and said PM Narendra Modi was busy shooting a promotional film till late evening on the day that Pulwama attacks were carried out on February 14.

Congress extended its support to the government against Pakistan but unfortunately, the PM "forgotten the Raj Dharma (ethical rule) is only concerned about his Raj(rule)," Surjewala said.

Sharpening his attack on the government, the Congress spokesperson said 'at a time when Indians are distressed over the death of 40 CRPF jawans, Congress stands in solidarity with the family of the soldiers and the government to fight the terror menace'.

"Even as the (CRPF) jawans battled for their lives the PM was busy shooting a movie for himself at Corbett; even Congress came up with a reaction but PM was busy shooting a movie, he made the people of Ramnagar raise slogans for himself while the forces were picking up blown pieces of the jawans," he said.

"This is the most unprecedented insult that any head of the state has ever brought upon the martyrs where PM was shooting for 4 hrs," Surjewala said in a press conference in Delhi," he added.

He said it was the Congress government led by the then PM Indira Gandhi who gave a befitting reply to Pakistan by bringing independence to Bangladesh.
