Pakistan Violates Ceasefire For Third Consecutive Day Along The LoC

Pakistan Rangers again resorted to indiscriminate shelling and firing on Indian security and civilian facilities in two sectors (RS Pura And Akhnoor) on the international border in Jammu and Kashmir gradually killing Four people, including a Border Security Force personnel, and an Innocent boy injured in cross-firing between India and Pakistan on Saturday.

Pakistan violated ceasefire in three Jammu and Kashmir districts along the International Border and the Line of Control for the third consecutive day, PTI reported.

Heavy firing began along the LOC in Poonch's Kerni area around 6.30 am. Dozens of villages and posts in Shahpur, Kerni and Qasba sectors targeted. India is retaliating "strongly and effectively", the Army said.

"Around 100 outposts of the Border Security Force (BSF) are retaliating effectively to Pakistan firing on the international border."Heavy firing exchanges are presently going on between the two sides. So far, there is no report of any casualty or damage on our side." The BSF officer added that Pakistan is hitting civilian villages and that the Border Security Force is giving a “befitting reply”.

Officials said that around 9,000 people living along the International Border had migrated to safer places, and 1,000 people were living in camps in RS Pura, Samba and Kathua areas.

Accusing Rangers of always initiating unprovoked ceasefire violation along the border, Director General BSF K K Sharma had said that he has asked his troops to retaliate with “their full force” and “teach a lesson” to Pakistan. He had described the situation on the border as “tense”.
