‘Nitin Gadkari, Only One In Bjp With Some Guts’, Tweets Rahul Gandhi, Requests Answers On Rafale

Congress president Rahul Gandhi was all praises for Nitin Gadkari on Monday as he said that he was the only Bharatiya Janata Party leader with some guts and asked him to answer questions on Rafale scam, farmers' distress and destruction of institutions.

"Gadkari Ji, compliments! You are the only one in the BJP with some guts. Please also comment on: 1) The Rafale scam and Anil Ambani 2) Farmers' Distress 3) Destruction of Institutions," said the Congress president on Twitter.

Gandhi's comment on the microblogging site came after Gadkari addressed former workers of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student wing of RSS, and said that those who cannot do deliver at home, “cannot manage the country”.

“I meet many people who say we want to devote our lives for the BJP, for the country. I asked (one such person) what do you do, and who all are there in your family. He said I have closed my shop as it was not doing well... there is wife at home, children. I said (to him) first take care of your home, because one who cannot manage his home cannot manage the country,” Gadkari had said.

Not long after Rahul’s tweet, Gadkari returned the shot. "I don't need your certificate for my courage. But strange that despite being the president of a national party, you are having to resort to twisted media reports to target our party," he said.

Unrepentant, Rahul Gandhi sent another tweet: "Oops, Gadkari Ji. Huge apology. I forgot the most important one.... JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!"

This was not the first time that Gadkari’s comments have been used by the BJP’s rivals to target the party.
