A Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Delhi was diverted and landed safely in Ahmedabad during the early hours of Monday morning due to 'security reasons'. The Jet Airways flight 9W339 took off from Mumbai at 2:55 AM and landed at the Ahmedabad airport by 3:45 AM.

According to reports, a threatening note was recovered from the toilet of the aircraft which demanded that the flight be flown directly to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) without landing in Delhi.

"If you put landing gear, you will hear the noise of people dying. Don't take it as a joke. Cargo area contains explosive bomb and will blast if you land in Delhi. Allah is Great," the note continued.

The hijacked note was written in both Urdu and English.
