Congress President Rahul Gandhi is visiting the election-bound state of Meghalaya. He held several meetings and a road show in Shillong earlier today. In his trademark style, Gandhi took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking to journalists in Shillong he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not against corruption, but an instrument of corruption.

He said, “One after the other you will see these scams. They are coming out. We have already seen Nirav Modi, we have seen Rotomac, and we have seen Mallya. This is what the Congress party has been saying for a very long time, that Mr. Narendra Modi is not actually against corruption, he is the instrument of corruption.”

Gandhi said that the BJP was spending thousands of crores and throwing money in Meghalaya. He accused that this money was coming from the likes of Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya.

Questing the Prime Minister’s silence on the multi crores PNB scam, Rahul said, “Frankly there is no question that Mr. Narendra Modi is even going to comment on Nirav Modi. He has 1 hour 45 minutes to teach children how to take exam but he doesn’t have one minute to explain to the people of India when their money is being stolen.”

Earlier today Gandhi took to twitter asking the PM to talk about Nirav Modi and Rafale.

“Modi Ji, last month you ignored my suggestions for your Mann Ki Baat monologue. Why ask for ideas when in your heart you know what every Indian wants to hear you speak about? 1. Nirav Modi's 22,000 Cr. Loot & Scoot 2. The 58,000 Cr. RAFALE scams. I look forward to your sermon,” he wrote.
