Prime Minister Narendra Modi since assuming office has been very busy between launching initiatives, making international trips, addressing crowds and staying active on social media forums.

While PM Modi always makes it a point, especially on his birthday, to visit his elderly mother in Gujarat's Gandhinagar, for the first time PM Modi is visiting his hometown Vadnagar on Sunday since becoming Prime Minister of the nation.

During PM Modi's visit to Vadnagar in north Gujarat, a part of his two-day trip to the state, he is scheduled to inaugurate a civil hospital worth Rs 500 crore and a medical college as well. He will be visiting the Hatkeshwar Temple and at a public meeting will launch an intensified Mission Indradhanush to accelerate the progress for full immunisation coverage of the nation.

The Prime Minister will also be distributing e-tablets to health workers, marking the launch of the “Innovative mobile-phone Technology for Community Health Operations” or " ImTeCHO" mobile application which is designed to help social health workers. The mobile application helps ASHAs with better supervision, support and motivation for increasing maternal, newborn and child health interventions.

As the Gujarat assembly elections are coming up, top political leaders are making their presence felt by visiting the state and campaigning. Earlier, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had also visited the state.
