A social disagreement on Saturday night took the life of a BJP leader's only son at the Lucknow's Kasmanda House. The murder took place barely 300 metres from the Uttar Pradesh Legislature building and the state BJP office.

The 36-year-old son of former Domariyaganj MLA Prem Prakash Tiwari named Vaibhav Tiwari was allegedly shot dead while he was having a meeting at acquaintances residence at the Kasmanda House.

Abhay Prasad, the Additional Director General of Police, Lucknow Zone confirmed the news of murder following an altercation between the meeting attendees. Speculations suggest his love-marriage with a non-Brahmin girl was connected to the murder.

While the Police are investigating the case to search for the real reason behind the murder, no reports of arrest have yet come out. Prem Prakash Tiwari alias Jippy Tiwari was the BJP MLA from Domariyaganj in 1989, 1991 and 1993.

The leader joined Samajwadi Party in 2014 but his link to BJP was still unbroken. Tiwari campaigned for the ruling party this year's Assembly elections.
