Cartoons are the new forms of insult and social media the new form of delivery, with politicians resorting to simple cartoons to put their point across. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday tweeted a cartoon comparing the work done by his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi as compared to the 'work in progress' of the central government.

The cartoon, showing two patches of land, one with a multi-level construction made by AAP and the second of barren ground with a sign on it, served dual purposes of both highlighting the achievements of AAP and dismissing the efforts of the Central government.

Among the achievements of AAP, Kejriwal highlighted everything from the Mohalla clinics, to free water, reasonable priced electricity, affordable treatments at hospitals and improved government schools.

With the NDA government marking 4 years at the Centre, Opposition parties have united to slam the PM Modi-led government and marked a show of power during the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy. The swearing-in was attended by Congress President Rahul Gandhi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Although AAP has been claiming progress in Delhi, the party has not been able to establish itself outside of the national capital, despite contesting in various state elections.
