An innocent 8-year-old was brutally raped and murdered in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. Ever since the horrifying incident broke out, the entire nation has been demanding justice for the victim but some breached media reports and planned vendetta shook their determination.

While 8 accused have been taken into police custody for sexually assaulting the little girl, various statements questioned the authenticity of rape reports. Clearing the air once and for all, Jammu's Crime Branch issued an official statement that Asifa was indeed raped, confirmed the medical reports.

"It has been confirmed that the victim was found subjected to sexual assault by the accused. The medical expert has also opined that hymen of the victim was not found intact," confirmed the Police, adding, "The victim was held in captivity and administered sedatives."

The report also confirmed that the cause of the victim's death was asphyxia which led to the cardiopulmonary arrest. Earlier, the forensic report has also confirmed that the vaginal swabs of the eight-year-old Kathua rape case victim matched with that of the accused.

The Delhi Forensic Science Laboratory had examined 14 packets of evidence — containing vaginal swabs, hair strands, blood samples of four accused, viscera of the deceased girl, the girl’s frock and salwar, simple clay, and bloodstained clay to confirm the assault.

The infamous Kathua Rape Case involving the inhumane rape of the 8-year-old by multiple men inside the Devasthan prayer hall before she was strangled to death to allegedly "dislodge" a group of Bakherwal Muslim nomads from the Rasana village in Kathua has shaken the entire country.
