| April 27 , 2018 , 12:15 IST

As the Assembly elections for Karnataka are approaching near the campaigning for the Congress-ruled state has gained a pace. Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday released his party's election manifesto for Karnataka at the TMA Convention Hall in Mangalore. The Congress has promised to provide clean, stable, transparent, people caring and corruption-free administration.

"Congress Party has put in 6 months of effort to come up with an inclusive development oriented manifesto. Our Government has Delivered as Promised and will do the same for the next five years as well," said senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily.

"Karnataka is the top job-creating state in India and we have received the maximum investments. We will continue in our efforts to build a 'Nava Karnataka'," said Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

"During the preparation of every budget, I would check our party's 2013 Manifesto, and fulfil the promises we had made. As we have 'Delivered as Promised', there is no anti-incumbency against our Government," the CM added.

"I thank Mr Moily for his effort in going to each district and having meetings with the people of Karnataka. This is unlike the manifesto of the BJP which will have the hidden interests of the RSS and Reddy brothers," said Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

As election manifestos are released to attract the voters towards a political party, the impression of the Congress manifesto would be seen after the declaration of the results on May 15 for the voting taking place on May 12.
