Jammu & Kashmir: Two Cops Killed, Six Other Injured In Terrorist Attacks

A group of heavily armed terrorist attacked the police guard post in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Tuesday. The attack resulted in the death of two policemen. Three other policemen were injured in the firing from both the sides.

The incident took place at around 3 am. The two policemen shot dead were Ghulam Rasool and Ghulam Hasan. The terrorists stole the rifles and bullets of the policemen and escaped from the spot. The area has been cordoned off and search operation is going on in the district.

“Terrorist opened fire at the police pocket that was guarding the district court complex in Pulwama town in early hours of the morning today,” a Jammu and Kashmir police spokesperson said today.

He further added “two policemen retaliated the firing by terrorist, but were killed in the exchange of gunfire. The area has been cordoned off and further details are awaited.”

Mohammed Aslam Chowdhary, SSP Pulwama said that, “Terrorist are being identified and they will be nabbed soon.”

While, another attack was reported in Sadar area at the same time. 10 CRPF jawans were sustained minor injuries after they were attacked by the grenades.

All the injured jawans were admitted to the hospital where their condition is stated stable.
